On March 28, 2026, the socio-economic forum “Europe–Uzbekistan 2026” was held in Tashkent. The event took place at the Hampton by Hilton hotel and brought together representatives of government organizations, international companies, educational institutions, and job seekers. The forum was organized by the “United Business Clubs” Association and “EU Assistance” LLC, with the support of the Bulgaria–Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Migration Agency, and the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Tashkent. During the forum, discussions focused on job opportunities in European countries, particularly Bulgaria, as well as working and living conditions, labor migration legislation and permit procedures, and challenges in obtaining work visas and their possible solutions. Detailed information was also provided on opportunities for legal employment, residence, and business establishment for citizens of Uzbekistan in the European Union. Representatives of the Getwork private employment agency also actively participated in the forum, addressing current issues related to labor migration, work visas, and employment in Europe. During the open dialogue with experts, the questions raised by the Getwork team added practical value to the discussions. In addition, major European programs such as “Horizon Europe” and “Erasmus+” were presented, including grants supporting education, professional development, startups, and growing businesses.
