President Shavkat Mirziyoyev Defines a New Era in Labor Migration: "Getwork" CEO Davron Abduqodirov Addresses the Presidential Meeting
A transformative new era is beginning in Uzbekistan’s external labor migration sector. During a high-level meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, comprehensive reforms were introduced to ensure organized, safe, and high-income international employment for citizens. Following the meeting, it was announced that the processes of sending citizens to work abroad will now be fully entrusted to proven, reliable private employment agencies.
Participating in this landmark meeting, Davron Abduqodirov, CEO of "Getwork" Private Employment Agency, addressed the Head of State directly, reporting on the company’s achievements and presenting ambitious new initiatives for the upcoming period.
A Historic Milestone and High-Level Recognition for the Company
For "Getwork" Private Employment Agency—a licensed agency that has spent over 8 years preparing citizens for the international labor market and securing legal employment across Europe while operating 11 regional branches throughout Uzbekistan—this meeting marked a historic milestone.
Having the company’s CEO personally report to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, put forward practical policy proposals, and receive direct presidential endorsement is a monumental achievement for the entire "Getwork" team. It stands as a testament to the highest level of state trust earned through years of transparent, legal, and systematic work.

At the beginning of his remarks, Davron Abduqodirov expressed his deep gratitude to the President for the favorable conditions and wide-ranging opportunities created for private employment agencies in Uzbekistan.

"Davron, What Can I Do for You to Make It 10,000?" — Targeting 10,000 Internationally Certified Welders Per Year
Internationally recognized professional certifications play a decisive role in securing high-paying jobs in the European labor market. Building on the opportunities created in the country, "Getwork" has established specialized training courses in the Khorezm and Bukhara regions to prepare welders for the prestigious ISO 9606 international certificate. This November, the agency plans to launch additional ISO 9606 certification courses at technical colleges across four more regions: Bukhara, Namangan, Fergana, and Surkhandarya.
Davron Abduqodirov noted that each course is designed to train 20 welders at a time (120 welders simultaneously across 6 regions), and by scaling this model across all 13 regions of Uzbekistan, the company has the capacity to train and place 6,200 ISO-certified welders with European partner nations within a single year.
In response, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed the company’s CEO with a direct, practical question:
— "Davron, what can I do for you to make it 10,000?"
The head of "Getwork" highlighted that the newly announced state initiative to open English and German language training schools within technical colleges and vocational education centers provides the exact boost needed. Previously, the company had already been preparing to fund free English language courses alongside Russian for its welding candidates. Leveraging these new state-backed language programs at technical colleges, Davron Abduqodirov promised the President to train and place 10,000 internationally certified welders into European jobs within one year.
A Direct Pathway for Students and University Graduates to Over 100 European Companies
During the dialogue, another major initiative was presented regarding youth employment and university graduates. Currently, in cooperation with higher education and vocational institutions, "Getwork" places 1,000 university students annually into 3-month summer seasonal jobs in Bulgaria and Turkey, enabling them to gain international work experience and earn a solid income during their summer break.
Looking ahead, the company CEO proposed working directly with graduating students from universities and vocational colleges to place them into permanent, skilled positions across more than 100 European partner companies every year.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev praised the proposal and issued clear directives to officials:
— "This is a very good proposal. If we announce this to graduating students at every university, set aside an auditorium, and explain it to the youth—we have a massive number of eager candidates. However, they do not know the pathway or the conditions. We need to put all of this properly in place. If you meet with them once a month, they themselves will find the solutions to every challenge. We can achieve 27, we can achieve 30, and we can only do it together with them. I wish you success in your work, Davron!"
